Southwest New Mexico’s most abundant big game species is mule deer. We are fortunate to have available for our clients over 430,000 acres of some of the best mule deer ranches in southwestern New Mexico. Through intense predator control and limiting the number of mule deer hunters, we insure there are plenty of trophy quality bucks.
Southwest New Mexico is also inhabited with Coues deer. These small deer are a subspecies of the Whitetail. These unique little deer offer a challenging hunt and are found only in southwestern New Mexico, southern Arizona and northern Mexico.
Private Land Rifle Mule Deer
Trophy rifle mule deer hunts take place in early November and bucks are usually alone or in bachelor groups. We take a limited number of hunts to insure these herds continue to produce trophy quality bucks.
Private Land Muzzleloader Mule Deer
Trophy muzzleloader mule deer hunts start the week before the first rifle mule deer hunt. Our black powder mule deer hunters get the first opportunity at hunting these trophy mulies. Muzzleloader hunters can us In-lines, Sabots, and scopes on there muzzleloaders.
Private Land Archery Mule Deer
Trophy archery mule deer hunts start in January. The bucks are in rut at this time. This gives the archery hunters a good chance for a magnificent trophy quality buck. The buck to doe ratio is very good on our private land mule deer ranches.

Youth Private Land Mule Deer
A special youth mule deer hunt is offered at a reduced price to encourage young hunters to get interested in the outdoors. To qualify for a youth hunt you must be 18 years of age or less and have a current hunter safety education certificate. This is an opportunity of a life time for a young hunter to take a trophy mule deer.

Private Mule Deer Herd
We have a privately owned mule deer herd in southwest New Mexico on the southern edge of the Gila National Forest. 
We practice quality management of our herd and are careful not to over hunt them and work hard at keeping predator problems under control. We try to maintain one buck for every 2 to 3 does. This is an exceptional opportunity for large trophy mulies.

Coues Deer
Trophy Coues deer herds have been steadily increasing their range. These little deer offer a very fun and challenging hunt. The units in southwestern New Mexico we offer for trophy Coues deer are: 16, 21, 23, 24, 26, and 27.
